How To Transfer Credits From Etisalat To DU
Written by John Smith

There are various Telecom companies working in the UAE to deliver the best telecommunication experience to their users. Among all these telecom companies, Etisalat and DU are the most popular and reliable companies. Etisalat has over 148 million subscribers in around 16 countries while DU has 4.5 million subscribers in UAE.

Both of these telecommunication companies have strong competition with regards to their services. The main goal of these companies is to provide excellent customer experience at affordable prices.

The services of these companies are surprisingly reliable when it comes to credits transfer. Etisalat is one step ahead with their Etisalat Wallet that can be used to pay bills and make other transactions.

Let’s look at some of the easiest ways to transfer credits internationally, locally, or within the network.

Transfer Credits from Etisalat to DU

Etisalat and DU are the most popular networks in UAE and that’s why sometimes we need to transfer credits from one network to the other. If your friend is a DU user and he requests you to send some credits from your Etisalat network then here are some easy steps that you can follow for a successful credit transfer:

  • Remember or copy this format: *121*055(mobile number)*(transfer amount)#
  • Replace “mobile number” with your credit receiver’s number and “transfer amount” with the no. of credits that you want to send.
  • Now just dial this code, For Example, *121*05505XXXXXXXX*10# and your amount will be transferred successfully.

Second Method

  • Dial *121# and then follow the instructions.

If you are confused with the first method then you can try dialing *121# and then just keep following the instructions to make your credit transfer process easy.

Credit Transfer Terms & Conditions

You should know these conditions before you try to transfer credits from your Etisalat number to the DU network.

  • You must have enough balance in “More Time” to share.
  • A fee of 0.5% will be charged from your total transferred credits.
  • You cannot share credits with up to 25 numbers.
  • You can transfer a minimum amount of 2 AED and a maximum of 200 AED.

If you do not want to dial these codes then use the “My Etisalat UAE” app for the easiest transfer.

Etisalat International Transfer

Etisalat has made it possible to send credits all over the world in different countries. Before you dial the code for a successful transfer, you must know the country code and a number of your receiver For Example if your receiver is from Pakistan then their country code will be +92.

Follow these steps

  • Enter your receiver’s mobile number where you want to transfer credits along with their country code For Example +92 for Pakistan and then the mobile number “+923334155789” and then send SMS to
  • Now wait for the confirmation message and follow the instructions. They will ask you for the amount you want to transfer, make sure to mention an amount in your UAE currency (Dirhams).
  • Your international transfer will be successful and the receiver will receive money in their own currency after conversion.

If you mistakenly provide the wrong destination number then don’t worry because your transaction would be declined. It’s always good to double-check your number before you send the money to your receivers.

Before you dial the code, make sure you have enough balance available in your Wasel or Valid postpaid account.

International transfers are also possible with the “My Etisalat UAE” app. They have a user-friendly interface that will guide you to transfer funds easily.

Transfer Internet Data from Etisalat to Etisalat

What if your friend using Etisalat networks asks you to share some data? You cannot deny him, it’s pretty common among friends and families to share data especially when they are using the Etisalat network.

Let’s have a look at how we can share happiness with our dear ones:

  • Remember the following code:#100*ReceiverNumber*DataInMB#
  • Replace “ReceiverNumber” with the number of your dear ones and mention the data you want to transfer in MBs.
  • Now, For Example, Dial #100*05XXXXXXXX*1000# and 1 GB data will be transferred from your Etisalat number to your friend’s Etisalat number.

Other Simple Methods

If you are lazy enough to dial the code then don’t worry, there are two and easier methods available to transfer data.

  1. Dial #100# and then just follow the instructions to transfer data successfully.
  2. Use My Etisalat UAE app and transfer data in a few clicks.

Transfer Credits from DU

DU users can now easily transfer credits to other users in their network. The DU announced their “One2One” service some time ago which allowed prepaid and elite UAE users to transfer credits from the “More Time” wallet.

You can follow these simple steps to make a successful transfer from DU to other DU users.

  • Remember or copy this format: *121*055(mobile number)*(transfer amount)#
  • Replace “mobile number” with your credit receiver’s number and “transfer amount” with the no. of credits that you want to send.
  • Now just dial this code, For Example, *121*05505XXXXXXXX*5# here it will transfer 5 Dirhams to the provided number.

Once the amount is successfully transferred, the receiver will receive a confirmation message with the payee’s mobile number and amount.

Requesting Credits from others on Etisalat

There might be some conditions where you have to request credits from your friends or family. We can request credits by dialing code with the number of people from whom you are requesting credits.

Let’s have a look at some easy steps:

  • Remember 107*Number*Amount# Code
  • Replace “Number” with the number of the person from whom you are requesting credits and “Amount” with the total amount in UAE currency that you are requesting.
  • Now, send the message and wait for your receiver to respond.

Now the destination number will receive a message in the following format, “Mobile Number 05xxxxxx is requesting you to transfer AED x (amount). To transfer the amount just type the following command: *100*Mobile Number*amount# and press the send key”.

If your receiver accepts your request and dials *100*Mobile Number*amount# then you will receive a confirmation message from their side with the amount they have transferred to your number.

Terms & Conditions

  • This service only works for prepaid users.
  • One person can only make 2 requests from their number.

To sum up

The Etisalat and DU will always be in healthy competition with their extraordinary services. Etisalat has taken a step ahead with their My My Etisalat UAE which makes it easy for everyone to receive, send, and request credits. You no longer have to save or remember any codes in order to transfer credits because, with the Etisalat app, it is now possible just with the help of a few clicks.

DU is also leveling up their network by integrating new services just like One2One which enables prepaid customers to transfer balance in a More Time wallet. The competition between these two networks will rise further in the upcoming decades until or unless they are hit by a strong competitor. There are now other companies just like ABS Global, which are performing really well but they still need to improve their services in order to get in direct competition with two giant telecom providers of UAE.
